Comments: You MUST be licensed at the EMT level to start this course.

Students who successfully complete this course are eligible to sit for the National Registry Advanced EMT Exam.

This is a fast paced course, utilizing an online platform to enhance learning and classroom activities. High speed internet access and a laptop are required for this course.


This program is supported by the Maine Jobs & Recovery Plan. After registration, payment of Application Fee, and payment of the Course Deposit, the remaining training cost will be fully funded for each eligible student. To discuss additional supports to eliminate barriers to participation in this training, contact healthcaretrainingforme@maine.gov.
Class Description: The first class on Friday September 9, 5:30-9:30 will be in person.

Students will be required to complete 4-6 hours of course preparation work each week, prior to coming to lab.

A laptop and Wi-Fi access is required for this course

Fridays 5:30 pm - 9:30 pm:
September: 9, 16, 23, 30
October: 7, 14, 21, 28
November: 4, 11, 18

Saturdays, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm:
September 17, 24
October: 15. 29
November: 12
December: 3

Tuesdays 5:30 pm - 9:30 pm
November: 22, 29

Psychomotor Skills Exam fees are NOT included in the cost of the course.

Clinical will run concurrent with the course and you will be given an additional 60 days after the last day of class to finish up any incomplete clinical experiences. A minimum of 150 clinical hours are required. Additional clinical time may be required to complete the clinical objectives.
General Comments: United's Education Division is a Maine-EMS approved Training Center.

United Training Center does not issue college credit for this program. College credit may be achieved through articulation agreements. Please contact us for more information.

Within a month of the start date of the course, you will receive information via email that will include immunization forms. You will receive an invoice for the course in a separate email. Your enrollment is not confirmed until we receive the $300 student deposit. Payments can be made from the emailed invoice. Please note the invoice amount will include the entire cost of the course, but only $300 is the student's responsibility.

Refunds/Payments: Full refunds will only be issued in the event of course cancellation or prior to the “Official Start Date”. Full payment must be received within two (2) weeks of the start of class.
