Comments: This is a fast paced course, utilizing an online platform to enhance learning and classroom activities. This course will require a majority of your course work to be done on-line, on your own computer. There will be, face to face, in class sessions with your instructor to learn the practical skills needed to be an EMT.

Students can expect to spend a minimum of 25 hours each week on the course doing the required reading and assignments.

Class will meet on the following Tuesday evenings:

January: 9, 16, 23, 30
February: 6, 13, 27
March: 6, 13, 20, 27
April: 3, 10, 24
May: 1

There will be no class February 20, 2018 or April 17, 2018.
There will be ONE Saturday class April 28, 2018 From 8:30-2:30.

NREMT Practical testing fees are included in price of this course. Written testing fees and Maine licensing fees are NOT included.
Class Description: This course prepares students for the entrance level to work on an ambulance. The course covers Ambulance Operations, Airway Management, Patient Assessment, Medical Emergencies, Trauma Emergencies, Infants,Children and Operations.

Clinical will run concurrent with the course and you will be given an additional 14 days after the last day of class to finish up any incomplete clinical experiences. A minimum of 24 clinical hours are required. Additional clinical time may be required to complete the clinical objectives.

Students who successfully complete this course are eligible to sit for the National Registry EMT licensure test.

Please Note: Your registration is not completed unless you pay this course application fee using a credit card. Purchase orders are accepted please contact the Education Department.

Within a month of the start date of the course, you will receive an email with the course application, and immunization forms. You will also receive an invoice via email. Your enrollment is not confirmed until we receive your completed application and the $250 non-refundable Course Deposit is paid.
