This is a traditional course, material will be presented face-to-face with limited online components.
Students can expect to spend 4-6 hours a week completing the required reading and homework assignments.
Class will meet Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm. There will also be two Saturday classes that will meet from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
Class will meet the following dates:
May (Tuesday and Thursday evenings): 8, 10, 15, 17, 22, 24, 29, 31
May (Saturday): 5
June (Tuesday and Thursday evenings): 5, 7, 12, 14, 19, 21
June (Saturday): 9
Practical Skills Exam: TBA
NREMT Practical Skills Exam fees, if taken through United Training Center, are included in the cost of the course. Written testing fees, and Maine licensing fees are NOT included.

| Class Description: |
This course prepares students to provide immediate lifesaving care to critical patients who access the emergency medical services system. Upon successful completion students will have the knowledge and skills necessary to provide immediate lifesaving interventions while awaiting additional EMS resources to arrive. Students will also learn how to provide assistance to higher-level personnel at the scene of emergencies and during transport. Emergency Medical Responders are a vital part of the comprehensive EMS response. Students will learn to perform basic interventions with minimal equipment.
Students who successfully complete this course are eligible to sit for the National Registry EMR licensure test.
