CPR, clinical polo shirt and Practical Exam fee) Instructor: United Training Center Faculty Phone: 207-782-8414 E-mail Address: education@unitedambulance.net Comments: This is a fast paced course, utilizing an online platform to enhance learning and classroom activities. This course will require some course work to be done on-line, on your own computer. There will be, face to face, in class sessions with your instructor to learn the practical skills needed to be an EMT. Students can expect to spend a minimum of 20 hours each week on the course doing the required reading and assignments. Class dates listed below: Week 1: July 1, 2, 3 Week 2: July 9, 10, 11, 12 Week 3: July 16, 17, 18, 19 Week 4: July 23, 24, 25, 26 Week 5: July 30, 31, August 1 There will be no class July 4 or 5, 2019. Practical Exams will be held on August 1, 2019 and will extend into the evening. NREMT Practical testing fees are included in price of this course. Written testing fees and Maine licensing fees are NOT included. Class Description: This course prepares students for the entrance level to work on an ambulance. The course covers Ambulance Operations, Airway Management, Patient Assessment, Medical Emergencies, Trauma Emergencies, Infants,Children and Operations. Clinical will run concurrent with the course and you will be given an additional 14 days after the last day of class to finish up any incomplete clinical experiences. A minimum of 20 clinical hours are required. Additional clinical time may be required to complete the clinical objectives. Students who successfully complete this course are eligible to sit for the National Registry EMT licensure test. General Comments: United's Education Division is a Maine-EMS approved Training Center. Registration is not complete until the non-refundable $95.00 Course Application Fee is paid. Purchase orders are accepted, please contact the Education Department. Prior to the start date of the course, an email with course information, and immunization forms will be sent to all registrants. Invoices will also be sent via email. Course enrollment is not confirmed until the $250 non-refundable Course Deposit is paid. After registering for this course, additional payments can be made through the emailed invoice. Please Note: The $95 Application Fee and the $250 Course Deposit are included in the total cost of the course, these are not additional fees added to the $995. Refunds/Payments: Full refunds will only be issued in the event of course cancellation or prior to the “Official Start Date”. Payment in full must be made prior to start date of class. Registration is not currently allowed
