This is a traditional style course, there will be minimal online components, the majority of the course will be face-to-face instruction.
Students can expect to spend a minimum of 4-6 hours each week doing the required reading and assignments.
Class will meet on Monday and Thursday evenings from 5:30 pm - 9:30 pm and also on one Saturday per month 8:30 am - 5:00 pm.

April: 1, 4, 8, 11, 15, 18, 22, 25, 29
Saturday: April 13
May: 2, 6, 9, 13, 16, 20, 23, 30
Saturday: May 4
No Class Monday May 27th, 2019 in observance of Memorial Day.
June: 3, 6, 10, 13, 17, 20, 24, 27
Saturday: June 8
Projected Practical Skills Exam June 29, 2019.
NREMT Practical testing fees are included in price of this course. Written testing fees and Maine licensing fees are NOT included. |
| Class Description: |
This course prepares students for the entrance level to work on an ambulance. The course covers Ambulance Operations, Airway Management, Patient Assessment, Medical Emergencies, Trauma Emergencies, Infants, Children and Operations.
Clinical will run concurrent with the course and you will be given an additional 14 days after the last day of class to finish up any incomplete clinical experiences. A minimum of 24 clinical hours are required. Additional clinical time may be required to complete the clinical objectives.
Students who successfully complete this course are eligible to sit for the National Registry EMT licensure test. |

Note: The $95.00 non-refundable application fee is due at the time of sign-up.

One month prior to the start date of the course, you will receive an email with the Course Application, Immunization forms and an invoice for the course. Your enrollment is not confirmed until we receive your completed application and immunization forms, and the $250 non-refundable deposit.
Refunds/Payments: Full refunds will only be issued in the event of course cancellation or prior to the “Official Start Date”. Payment plan options available upon request. Please contact the Education Department for more details.
