Comments:24 hour BLS Refresher. This program will cover 24 hours of various CEH hours towards NREMT recertification.

This program will also cover the BLS Refresher requirement for those who need to retake their NREMT Computer Based Exam.

Please note: this program only covers 24 of the 52 hours required for an EMT to re-license in the state of Maine.

General Comments:Providers must attend all three days to receive a completion certificate.

ACCELERATED EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN (EMT) PROGRAM - LEWISTON

Comments:This is a fast paced course, utilizing an online platform to enhance learning and classroom activities. This course will require some course work to be done on-line, on your own computer.

Students can expect to spend a minimum of 12 hours each week on the course doing the required reading and assignments, outside of class.

Week 2: June 29, 30, July 1
Week 3: July 6, 7, 8
Week 4: July 13, 14, 15
Week 5: July 20, 21, 22
Week 6: July 27, 28, 29

Please note:
Week 1 - Class meets Monday June 22, Wednesday June 24, and Friday June 26.
Weeks 2-6 - Class meets Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday

Practical Exams will be held on Saturday August 1, 2020.

NREMT Practical testing fees are included in price of this course. Written testing fees and Maine licensing fees are NOT included.
Class Description:This course prepares students for entrance level work on an ambulance. The course covers Ambulance Operations, Airway Management, Patient Assessment, Medical Emergencies, Trauma Emergencies, and Environmental Emergencies.

Clinical will run concurrent with the course and you will be given an additional 14 days after the last day of class to finish up any incomplete clinical experiences. A minimum of 20 clinical hours are required. Additional clinical time may be required to complete the clinical objectives.

Students who successfully complete this course are eligible to sit for the National Registry EMT licensure test.


General Comments:United's Education Division is a Maine-EMS approved Training Center.

Registration is not complete until the non-refundable $95.00 Course Application Fee is paid. Purchase orders are accepted, please contact the Education Department.

Prior to the start date of the course, an email with course information, and immunization forms will be sent to all registrants. Invoices will also be sent via email. Course enrollment is not confirmed until the $250 non-refundable Course Deposit is paid. After registering for this course, additional payments can be made through the emailed invoice.

Please Note: The $95 Application Fee and the $250 Course Deposit are included in the total cost of the course, these are not additional fees added to the $995.

Refunds/Payments: Full refunds will only be issued in the event of course cancellation or prior to the “Official Start Date”. Payment in full must be made prior to start date of class.

Comments:REGISTRATION IS OPEN!! This is a fast paced diploma Paramedic program designed for currently licensed Advanced EMTs. You must hold a current, valid AEMT license to start this course and have experience working as an AEMT for at least 2 years.
Program Dates:

Class will be held every Tuesday from 8 am to 5 pm and one Saturday a month. Clinical/Field time will run concurrent with the course and you will be given an additional time after the last day of class to finish up any incomplete clinical/field experiences.

A college level Anatomy & Physiology course (no lab required) is necessary prior to beginning this course*. An official transcript is required to be submitted to the Training Center to complete your application package. You must have a "C" or better to meet this requirement. We do accept some online A&P courses, please contact United Training Center for more information. A valid Basic Life Support CPR card is required to attend this course.
