Students can expect to spend a minimum of 20 hours each week on the course doing the required reading and assignments.

Students who successfully complete this course are eligible to sit for the National Registry EMT licensure test.

This is a traditional style course, there will be minimal online components, the majority of the course will be face-to-face instruction.

Program Dates:

AHA ACLS is for health care providers who either direct or participate in the resuscitation of a critical patient.

A current 2020 ACLS Student Manual is a requirement for this course and is needed to complete pre-course work. Successful completion of the online pre-test (80% or better) is REQUIRED before attending this course. You will be emailed instructions for the pre-test. You MUST bring the completed print-out to class along with a current CPR card.

Comments: This is a fast paced course, utilizing an online platform to enhance learning and classroom activities. This course will require a majority of your course work to be done on-line, on your own computer. There will be, face to face, in class sessions with your instructor to learn the practical skills needed to be an EMT.

Students can expect to spend a minimum of 10-12 hours each week on the course doing the required reading and assignments.

Class will meet the following Tuesday and Friday evenings from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm:

March: 1, 4, 8, 11, 15, 18, 22, 25, 29

Practical Skills Exam will be held at United Training Center in Lewiston on April 23, 2022.

NREMT Practical testing fees are included in price of this course. Written testing fees and Maine licensing fees are NOT included.
Class Description: This course prepares students for the entrance level to work on an ambulance. The course covers Ambulance Operations, Airway Management, Patient Assessment, Medical Emergencies, Trauma Emergencies, Infants, Children and Operations.

Please note that due to COVID-19 restrictions, clinical time may be replaced with simulation.

A COVID vaccine is required of all students taking this course.

All students entering the station will be required to wear face coverings and eye protection. Students are welcome to provide their own, or the Training Center will provide disposable masks and one set of safety glasses.

Students who successfully complete this course are eligible to sit for the National Registry EMT licensure test.

United Training Center does not issue college credit for this program. College credit may be achieved through articulation agreements. Please contact us for more information.

Registration is not complete until the non-refundable $95.00 Course Application Fee is paid. Purchase orders are accepted, please contact the Education Department.

Prior to the start date of the course, an email with course information, will be sent to all registrants. Invoices will also be sent via email. Course enrollment is not confirmed until the $100 non-refundable Application Fee and the $300 non-refundable Course Deposit have been paid. After registering for this course, additional payments can be made through the emailed invoice.

Please Note: The $100 Application Fee and the $300 Course Deposit are included in the total cost of the course, these are not additional fees added to the $1200. The Application Fee and Course Deposit fees are non-refundable, should the student drop the course, after the course has started.

Refunds/Payments: Full refunds will only be issued in the event of course cancellation or prior to the “Official Start Date”. Payment in full must be made prior to start date of class.
