This course uses the AHA 2020 Guidelines for Resuscitation.
AHA ACLS is for health care providers who either direct or participate in the resuscitation of a critical patient.
A current 2020 ACLS Student Manual is a requirement for this course and is needed to complete pre-course work. Successful completion of the online pre-test (80% or better) is REQUIRED before attending this course. You will be emailed instructions for the pre-test. You MUST bring the completed print-out to class along with a current CPR card.

Community Paramedic Technician (CPT):
Course Overview
The community paramedicine technician program is designed to educate experienced ALS providers with the required skills needed to function within the community paramedicine program. Program topics will include high-risk patient populations, community resources, chronic disease management, the pathophysiology of disease, and lab techniques and tests. The program is built on 3 pillars:
Transitioning from Advanced EMT or Paramedic to Community Paramedicine Technician Transitioning from Emergent to Preventive Care Clinical Training The purpose of this outline is to provide a list of the community paramedicine technician topics to be covered in a community paramedicine technician education curriculum. A community paramedicine technician program must be flexible in design to assist in closing gaps within the healthcare system. Through standards, community paramedicine curriculums will enable EMS providers to be educated at the appropriate level to serve their local communities.
Topic areas for the Community Paramedicine Technician education include but are not limited to:
Introduction to Mobile Integrated Healthcare and Community Paramedicine Development and Implantation of Community Paramedicine / Mobile Integrated Health Programs Community Needs Assessment Communication Anatomy and Pathology Review Pharmacology Chronic Disease Management Special Populations Mental Health Patient Assessments Plan of care Immunizations Hospice and Palliative Care Nutrition |

This program prepares students for career opportunities in the areas of Community Paramedicine, health prevention, health behavior, and disease prevention. Students learn a variety of skills and strategies that will provide them with necessary proficiency to improve population health in diverse settings. The program focuses on the social and behavioral determinate of health and disease across the lifespan, with a particular emphasis on health disparities. Following successful completion of 88 hours, 48 didactic and 40 clinical, graduates are qualified to assist with the planning, implementing, and evaluation of programs that address health disparities that are intended to improve the health of diverse populations. |

Pediatric Education for Prehospital Providers is aimed at all license levels and will enhance skills for general assessment and treatment of all pediatric patients. This course uses the recently released, 4th edition of the PEPP textbook.

This is a fast paced course, utilizing an online platform to enhance learning and classroom activities. This course will require some course work to be done online, on your own computer. There will be, face to face, in class lectures and lab sessions with your instructor to learn content and practical skills needed to be an EMT.
Students can expect to spend a minimum of 8-10 hours each week doing the required reading and assignments.

All students attending this course must have a COVID vaccine.
Students who successfully complete this course are eligible to sit for the National Registry EMT Computerized Adaptive Test. |

This is a fast paced diploma Paramedic program designed for currently licensed Advanced EMTs. You must hold a current, valid AEMT license to start this course and have experience working as an AEMT.
Program Dates:
Class will be held every Tuesday from 8 am to 5 pm and occasional Saturdays. Clinical/Field time will run concurrent with the course and you will be given 60 days after the last day of class to finish up any incomplete clinical/field experiences.
A college level Anatomy & Physiology course (no lab required) is necessary prior to beginning this course*. An official transcript is required to be submitted to the Training Center to complete your application package. You must have a "C" or better to meet this requirement. We do accept some online A&P courses, please contact United Training Center for more information.
A valid Basic Life Support CPR card is required to attend this course.

A $200 non-refundable application processing fee is due at time of registration.

Class Description: |
The first class on Friday September 9, 5:30-9:30 will be in person.
Students will be required to complete 4-6 hours of course preparation work each week, prior to coming to lab.
A laptop and Wi-Fi access is required for this course
In-Person Lab sessions will be held the following dates/times:
Fridays 5:30 pm - 9:30 pm: September: 9, 16, 23, 30 October: 7, 14, 21, 28 November: 4, 11, 18
Saturdays, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm: September 17, 24 October: 15. 29 November: 12 December: 3
Tuesdays 5:30 pm - 9:30 pm November: 22, 29
Psychomotor Skills Exam fees are NOT included in the cost of the course.
Clinical will run concurrent with the course and you will be given an additional 60 days after the last day of class to finish up any incomplete clinical experiences. A minimum of 150 clinical hours are required. Additional clinical time may be required to complete the clinical objectives.

Within a month of the start date of the course, you will receive information via email that will include immunization forms. You will receive an invoice for the course in a separate email. REGISTRATION IS OPEN!! This is a diploma Paramedic program for currently licensed EMTs and AEMTs. You must be licensed at the EMT level to start this course. Advanced EMTs will need to complete the entire program.
Program Dates:
Class will be held every Monday from 8 am to 5 pm. *Class will also be held on an occasional pre-scheduled Saturday from 8 am to 5 pm. Dates to be announced.
Clinical will run concurrent with the course and you will be given 60 days after the last day of class to complete clinical experiences.
A college level Anatomy & Physiology course (no lab required) is required prior to beginning this course*. An official transcript is required to be submitted to the United Training Center to complete your application package. You must have a "C" or better to meet this requirement.
